Rising Stars and Beginner Teams
Generally, the age range for the Rising Stars team is 5 yrs - 8 yrs old and Beginner team is 7-10yrs old as of July 1, 2010

Rising Stars Team: Having fun & building friendships while learning Synchronized Skating Fundamentals is this team's primary focus. Learn holds, transitions and formations, as well as exploring skating counts to music and team choreography. Skaters will learn a program to music which will be performed at several exhibitions throughout the season and the team will compete in one ISI Competition.

Beginner Team: Speed, unison & footwork are introduced and are this team's primary focus. Skaters wishing to audition for the Phoenix Beginner Teams should have passed Edge 3 or higher, and be working on their Pre-Preliminary Moves in the Field test. Skaters will perform a program at several exhibitions throughout the season and will compete in USFSA sanctioned events only. The Beginner Program at Phoenix strives to develop individual and team skills, while fostering friendship and success!

Freeskate Elements: Spiral, Lunges, Bunny-hops & Hydroblades

The Introductory Divisions are an extremely important asset to the Phoenix Synchronized Skating Program

• The Onyx Ice Arena is home to one of the largest USFS Learn to Skate Program in the entire Country!

•  Suburban Ice-Macomb is one of the Onyx’s many sister arenas. Their Learn To Skate Program is also one of the largest in the country and feeds into the Phoenix Synchronized Skating Program!
